Olympic Memories 2008

Oldest Boy: "Mommy! Come quick! They're playing hockey in the water!"
Mommy: "That's not hockey, that's water polo."
Oldest Boy: "But there's a net!!" (spoken as if there could be any other game with a net. Go Pens!)

Oldest Boy: (on archery) "He got it in the middle but nothing exploded" (makes me worry about what they're showing on the Disney Channel these days...)

Mommy: "I didn't even know badminton was an Olympic sport!"
Oldest Boy: "Who gets the good mitten?"

Oldest Boy (on swimming): "Mommy, are those boys or girls?"
Mommy: "Can't you tell?"
Oldest Boy: "Well, they have bumps and you can tell by their hands. They're girls." - works for me!

*************
Childhood Olympics that I think our children would win gold medals in:

Building with Legos: The Star Wars version

Whining: We would take gold, silver, and bronze

Stuffed Animal Carrying: The object being to hold as many as you can while climbing up or down stairs. Youngest Boy will take the gold! He trains daily...
