Our kids have all been early talkers. They usually speak very clearly and concisely about whatever subject they deem worthy and they talk non-stop from the time they wake up until the time they go to sleep. Part of it is that I am a talker so they hear a lot of language from a very young age. Another part is that I absolutely, positively refuse to use baby-talk when speaking to them. It's a cup (not a cuppy). It's a nose (not their nose-y). And it drives me bonkers when I hear other parents babbling nonsense to their children...and then wonder why they have trouble communicating.
That being said, there are still some words that they either make up or mispronounce or misuse. Some of my favorites:
Baby Girl has never been able to pronounce "music". It's pronounce muz-gick. Yeah, not easy to say, is it? But we've been working on it (and working on it, and working on it) and now? She can say it.
Baby Girl also has trouble using the "th" sound, instead pronouncing it as an "f". She's almost completely conquered this one.
Youngest Boy has always called his oatmeal "cool" (because we always said he had to wait for it to "cool" before he could eat it). Now we pretty much ALL call it that.
Youngest Boy also calls the counter the "calendar". Our family calendar is located in the kitchen so this has caused a lot of confusion over the years. He still says it wrong most of the time.
But by far my new favorite is Little One's own word. Pronouns are always tricky (Baby Girl always called her baby sister a "he") but Little One has created her own. A few days ago she said, "His name is 'Daddy'. And his name is 'Oldest Boy'. And his name is 'Youngest Boy'. And shiz name is 'Baby Girl'. And shiz name is 'Mommy'. I have corrected her every time...but it makes me smile to hear it.

My youngest had yesterday and tomorrow mixed up for a long time. Trying to tell her something involving either was like trying to hand her a greased water balloon.
